Drive D Access Is Denied

XP hard drive or problem?
hi, there is some history to this, but the bad make it as clear as I can. First problem was when i boot up pc keeper to freeze xp loading screen. was told to do a repair xp from the disk, but when asked by the admin password setup, said my password was wrong even though I know that you know 100%. I have hard drives C: and D: drive C has the system running xp I was having problems and I did a clean install on drive d: Pc is working now, but I now sing anything in the access unit c: although I know to do it. if I click on the drive says access denied. I have some very important files on that drive, if anyone can help me access it, that would be a great please help! thanks
This is a permissions problem. Although it may belong to the group administrator may need to ask permission to run things. If you have Home edition then you Windox will have to reboot in safe mode and log on as administrator. Then use My Computer to access the folder and right click a folder and select Properties and then Security. Verify that the owner of the folder is and added to this group.
